CELTA Qualified English Teacher providing intensive one to one  residential tuition in Spain and UK

I am able to provide flexible learning packages for adult students of all levels of proficiency either in the UK or in Spain .

In the UK I am based in Enfield, twelve miles to the north of London and in Spain in the small village of Senan, Tarragona (near to the historic Monasteria de Poblet)

Flexible courses

Courses can be tailored to the student’s needs both in relation to the time available and their current ability level, which can range from elementary to advanced.

For example, for students with heavy weekday work demands, weekend courses can be provided from three hours up to six hours per day intensive tuition.

Similarly for those available only during the working week, courses can be individually packaged for any three four or five day period.

Course content

Courses are provided using UK sourced written material, audio tapes and (in the UK) videos. The Spanish property also provides BBC programmes (via satellite).

In addition ,social conversation throughout the student’s period of stay is in English; however both I and my husband are sufficiently conversant in Spanish to translate individual words and phrases where required.

Special Courses

With over thirty years banking and commercial experience I can give a business or financial orientation to the lessons, as may be required by the student or their employer.

I can also, uniquely, provide initial lessons in Spain, with a follow-up course in the UK with total continuity between the two.

Post Course Development

For students wanting to maintain or improve their English skills after the course has finished, I am able to offer lessons/ revision exercises via the internet, using Skype.
The student will need to have the Skype program installed on their computer, a broadband connection and a suitable headset/microphone to ensure good sound quality.
A webcam attached to the PC would also be helpful.
